Persona : Geek
Since I can remember, I’ve been a fervent comic book enthusiast. It all started with weekly kids magazines, but I soon graduated to the likes of international brands like Marvel, DC and mangas. I would spend hours playing with my action figures, creating imaginary scenarios and designing my own superhero characters. This early passion had a major impact on my decision to become a designer, and it only grew stronger as I got older.
As I explored my interests further, I developed a fascination with prop making, which eventually led me to become a cosplayer. I’m proud to say that I was a two-time cosplay grand prize winner at Comic Con, and have also won accolades at several other conventions.
Building Up A Community
My love of comics and pop culture inspired me to start Kerala Comics Brotherhood, the first community of its kind in Kerala. Our goal is to promote the medium of comics and pop culture through online and offline events. Through this community, we have been able to discover and promote new indie comic book creators from Kerala. Additionally, I am proud to be the patron of the Marvel Fans India community.
My passion for comics has also led me to create content on various platforms. I run a YouTube channel called Comic Mantra, where I promote comics and share my thoughts on the latest trends in the industry. I was also involved in a documentary series called Katha Vara Kathakal, which explores the history of comics in Kerala.
Currently, I manage a voluntary team that handles the day-to-day operations of the Kerala Comics Brotherhood, including social media and other community activities.
